FIRST SNOW DAY OF THE YEAR!
I finally got a new computer so posting on my blog is easier, hopefully I can keep it updated better. We got to ride on the Polar Express this week. It was really cool. None of us had ever been on a train before, so it was a great ride. We did almost miss it though, due to the bad roads. We got on a few minutes before it pulled away. The snow made it a perfect North Pole experience.
Kayleigh is going into 7th grade this year. This will be her first experience in Junior High. It's strange she is so old, but also fun and exciting especially for her. She was a little scared, but everything went great and she really likes Junior High.
For our vacation this year we decided to go to Bear Lake. Most of us have never been there before, so it was fun to go somewhere new. We stayed in this really great cabin that was big enough for all 20 of us. The kids loved being together all the time and it was nice to be able to eat most of our meals without leaving the cabin. The view was beautiful from our deck. The water was really blue and not as cold as I thought it would be. We rented a boat and had a lot of fun on it. The kids also really liked playing in all the sand and just swimming in the water. Noah loves his goggles. It was a great vacation, no one wanted to come home, but there's always next year.
We had to try the raspberry shakes while in Bear Lake, even though the wait was quite long. They were pretty good and the kids were happy just to be together. While we were eating shakes Jeremy, Noah, Steve, Taylor, and Devin got to go golfing. They had a good time and Noah loved driving the golf cart.
The kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool where we stayed. The hot tub was one of Noah's favorite things and since the one at the cabin was really gross he was happy they had one indoors too. Lilly loves to swim and isn't afraid at all, so we had to watch her really close or she would just dive in. Jeremy loves to throw the kids in the air when we go swimming and I think they like it as much as he does,almost. He decided Noah should try a flip (pic. below). Noah didn't want to try that again.
All the kids, but Kayleigh, took swimming lessons, of course she thinks she's too old. Lilly and I did the mom and me class. I've done this with all of my kids and had a lot of fun. I do get tired of it after about the 5th day, but it's tons of fun to swim in the pool without all of the people and just you and your baby. I don't know how much they learn, but it helps them get used to the water. Lilly is a very adventurous baby and she loved everything we did, even when I let her swim under the water all by herself to me. Mckenna and Noah also had a good time in lessons this year.
Mckenna is a great little swimmer. Maybe a future diving board champ!
Noah had a great time in swimming lessons. His teacher this year was awesome. I think he learned a lot. He loved his goggles and swimming in the lazy river.

We had a great day swimming at Seven Peaks with Annalyse, her kids, and Jessi. It was really fun this year. My Mom came and got Lilly and Kate after a few hours, so we could spend more time with the older kids. It was nice to be able to do a lot more, now that they are getting older.
On the 4th of July we watched the Provo Parade. We go every year with my mom's family. She grew up in Provo, so it's been a tradition since I was a little girl. It's getting really crowded, but it's nice to be with family. Noah loves watching any parade, even though he doesn't look like it in this picture. After it's over we go to my Uncle Darrel's house for a b-q. All of the kids look forward to this every year. They love getting in a squirt-gun fight with each other, especially when the adults join in. It's always way hot, but a lot of fun watching the kids.
Kayleigh decided she is too old to get wet, so she sat on the swing with her cousin, Ashley and watched all the fun. I think she secretly wished she was swimming in the kiddie pool.
We finished off the night watching fireworks in the park. They were great! I think I like watching them more than the kids. Lilly enjoyed the fireworks, she kept saying wo, wo. They had a lot of fun play with the glow sticks Grandma brings every year.
We had a pretty sad thing happen on the last day of school. We were all getting ready in the morning and it was hectic. Kayleigh had her 6th grade graduation and was supposed to be all dressed up. She wanted me to do her hair, so I tried my best but she didn't like it. I told her we could curl it to see if that would help. Anyways while I was busy with Kay's hair Lilly was right next to me and pulled the cord on the curling iron. It fell long ways on the inside of her arm. It was bad, so I took the girls to school and took Lilly straight to the doctors. He thought it might be a 3rd degree burn, but it turned out to be only a 2nd degree. I took this picture today, so it's been about 3 weeks and it is doing a lot better now, but there is still a spot without any skin. It's growing back slowly. Lilly has been amazing through the whole thing. She never even cries when I have to clean the dead skin off. I feel really bad about it and I hope she doesn't have too bad of a scar. We are all being very cautious to make sure she doesn't get any more injuries.

Kayleigh went to her first dance. The whole 6th grade was invited for graduating elementary school. It is very strange to have Kayleigh getting so old. This is a whole new territory were entering now. I'm not quite sure how to go about it. She was really excited though and that was fun to watch. Her friend Ally came over about an hour before it started so they could get ready together. I had to take a picture when they were all done. It doesn't seem that long ago since my friends and I were going over to Sara's house to get ready for the dances.(crazy)
Kayleigh had her end of the year dance recital last weekend. She did a great job! We all loved watching her, even Noah. She has had a lot of fun with dancing this year. They put on the Nutcracker in December and also had a spiritual dance showcase that was really great. She's learned a lot about dancing and hope that next year will be even better.
I'm kind of slow on this one, since his preschool graduation was a month ago. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I feel like Noah should still my little baby boy and now he's going to kindergarten next year. This was Noah's 3rd graduation from preschool, but I still love watching him sing and do all the cute actions. He wasn't into it as much this year, maybe that's because he's getting older. I think his favorite part were the brownies after it was over. Jeremy, Grandma, and I had fun watching him graduate.
